CareHub buys 95% of Cormedica s.r.l.

A new add-on for the Silver Economy Fund portfolio company active in the outpatient diagnostics sector.

Thanks to its own apparatus Brexia Med S.r.l., CareHub acquired 95% of Cormedica S.r.l. ‒ a company managing multi-speciality outpatient clinics in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy. Additional takeovers are planned for the coming months, in keeping with the group's "buy and build" strategy, which will enable its extensive presence to be further consolidated.

Cormedica S.r.l. has been a point of reference for private health care in Friuli-Venezia Giulia since 2009. Its clinics offer a broad range of medical services, including rehabilitation, specialist tests and examination, and diagnostic imaging. In 2024, Cormedica provided over 35,000 consultations and services, through a network of more than 60 professionals comprising doctors, nurses, X-ray technicians and physiotherapists.

These acquisitions involving specialized enterprises such as Cormedica respond to the growing demand emerging in the diagnostics sector and local private health care in Italy. This trend is also on the rise due to an ageing population, higher rates of chronic illnesses, and greater attention to prevention.

Since July 2024 CareHub has been in the portfolio of Silver Economy Fund – the Quadrivio Group private equity vehicle that invests in companies offering products and services for the Silver Age bracket. CareHub has been steadily expanding in the outpatient diagnostics sector, with the aim of creating a group with over €100 million in turnover. The new acquisition stands as the third investment for the Fund, whose portfolio also includes Siare and The Private Clinic ‒ the first is specialized in designing and manufacturing electro-medical equipment and devices for anaesthesia and intensive care units, while the second comprises a group of UK-based clinics providing cosmetic surgery, dermatological and longevity treatments.

The CareHub initiative is based on a 'hub & spoke' model combining traditional outpatient services with several innovative ones, which also involve the use of artificial intelligence during the patient screening phase. This model responds to the growing need for local private healthcare services while ensuring an extensive presence through the distribution of high-tech spokes providing appropriate services during the initial screening phase.

Alessandro Binello, Group CEO of Quadrivio Group and Managing Partner at Silver Economy Fund, commented on the acquisition: “CareHub has strengthened its presence in Italy through the addition of Cormedica, establishing itself as a major sector player as well as a leader in the diagnostics and outpatient services market. This new add-on ‒ soon to be joined by another five ‒ will further contribute to reinforcing positioning and to promoting a business model marked by service proximity and innovation.”

“We're excited to extend our project to a region with such potential ‒ that of Friuli-Venezia Giulia ‒ through the acquisition of Cormedica, a well-established and well-respected local enterprise. Our aim is to integrate the Cormedica competencies with our experience as seamlessly as possible, to ensure top quality health care and to expand the range of services offered thanks to new specialities and technologies” - added Gianluca Santoro, CEO of CareHub.
