The Equity Club joins CareHub alongside Quadrivio Group
A €50 million increase in capital will support and accelerate CareHub’s growth in the outpatient diagnostics sector. The goal: to reach €100 million in revenues and create an innovative integrated local healthcare platform in Italy
Quadrivio Group has signed binding agreements for The Equity Club (‘TEC’) ‒ Mediobanca’s club deal initiative that invests in outstanding Italian businesses in order to support their growth and development ‒ to contribute capital to Brexia Med S.r.l., the holding company for the CareHub platform.
Operating in outpatient diagnostics, CareHub has been a portfolio company for Silver Economy Fund ‒ the Quadrivio Group vehicle that invests in the longevity and healthcare sector ‒ since 2024.
The entry by TEC, which invests on behalf of Mediobanca Private Banking clients, ushers in a new phase of development for the outpatient clinics platform. The €50 million capital increase will further support CareHub’s expansion and consolidation, accelerating the clinic acquisitions already in the pipeline.
The two stakeholders will operate under joint control, while CareHub’s founding partners ‒ Gianluca Santoro, Alessandro Bartucci and Valentina Rossi ‒ will remain within the corporate structure and its management, continuing with the current strategy: expanding the network, strengthening presence in the areas of Italy where CareHub already has premises, and opening additional centres in new regions.
The common goal is to create an integrated network of outpatient and multi-speciality clinics generating revenues exceeding €100 million. This would position CareHub among the leading independent operators in the diagnostics and community healthcare sector in Italy.
The CareHub initiative is based on a ‘hub & spoke’ model that combines conventional outpatient care with innovative cutting-edge services, in response to the growing and increasingly urgent need to ensure accessible and quality health care.
The CareHub platform currently comprises 14 companies and 19 multi-speciality clinics, located in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lombardy, Abruzzo, Umbria and Tuscany. The increase in capital ‒ brought also by leveraged financing ‒ will enable the acquisition of 100% of Gruppo di Poliambulatori San Gaetano. A leader in the multi-speciality clinics sector, this group is recognized for its quality services and its marked innovation, with characteristics that are difficult to replicate on the market today. Located in north-eastern Italy, it has a network of 6 centres in the Veneto region (in Thien, Schio and Vicenza), stands out for its range of specialist services and advanced diagnostics, and generates a turnover of about €22 million.
Alessandro Binello, Group CEO of Quadrivio Group, stated: “The Equity Club joining CareHub will enable us to further strengthen the group’s organizational structure and to support and accelerate the new acquisitions in the pipeline. Our aim is to create a key player in the longevity sector, one that is a leader in diagnostics and multi-speciality outpatient services, with total revenues of about €100 million.”
Filippo Penatti, Co-CEO of The Equity Club, added: “We have chosen CareHub on account of its quality project and team and its consolidation prospects in the sector. Together with Quadrivio, we intend to quicken its growth and establish a nationwide leader, while contributing to the improvement of healthcare quality across Italy.”
Alessandro Bartucci and Gianluca Santoro, Co-CEOs of Brexia Med S.r.l., commented: “We are very pleased with The Equity Club’s presence alongside Quadrivio, also as this further validates the solidity and expansion potential of our project. This arrival is a significant step forward in our growth strategy and will enable swifter development of a distinctive nationwide network of local healthcare services in Italy.”
